This is from Lake Itasca State Park. We were there September 2005.
I entered this one at the county fair and got a red ribbon. I was so excited that I even placed! They only give 4 ribbons in each category, so I guess I did well!
Welcome to my photography portfolio! I am excited to share my art with you. I hope to add pictures often. Feel free to post a comment! This is a picture of a maple tree from my yard. Isn't it beautiful against that cloudless sky?
Inspired by the work of Margaret Bourke-White, I like to capture shapes, textures and lines through photography. In addition, I like using a shallow depth of field to draw focus to one specific area of the photograph and different camera angles to give an interesting approach to an ordinary object. I am constantly amazed by the way a photograph can capture the individuality of a subject, and the essence and emotion of a moment in time.
